
In recent years, two types of infection seem to be on the rise. Zoonosis is infection carried in animals and transferred to human by direct contact (e.g., rabies, perhaps COVID-19) or via an insect vector, such as mosquitoes (e.g., Zika virus, West Nile virus, Lyme disease).
